After School Activities

We offer about 20 different after school activities. After school activities are designed to meet the interest of each student, raise their self-awareness and help students maintain a healthy body and mind. Students are welcome to enroll in clubs to enrich their physical fitness, and to challenge themselves through life skill programs to succeed in the future.

After school activities include: Dance, Piano, Mongolian traditional musical instrument-Horsehead fiddle, Drama, Choir, Art, Basketball, Badminton, Football, Volleyball, Chess, Checker, ICT, STEM, Debate, Public speaking, Math and Ecology.

DANCE CLUB

In Dance Club, students will learn various types and styles of dance and techniques that will help them learn not only how to dance, but also cultivate students’ ability to work independently, teach proper etiquette and appreciation for beauty as well as patience which is essential to become a professional dancer.

Various types and styles of dance will be taught based on student’s age and physical fitness. Students will learn Latin dance, Modern dance, Ballet and Mongolian traditional dance such as “Chuulbar”, “Mongolian lady”, “Jalam khar”, “Sugsraan donj”, “Shigshregt”, and “Kazakstan”.

Time: The club will meet once a week for 1 hour 30 minutes

MUSIC CLUB

It is hard to imagine life without music, thus, we believe that aesthetic appreciation of arts is crucial in order to prepare global citizen that could walk hand in hand with today’s sophisticated world.

Students are welcome to choose one-on-one classes based on personal interests and needs. Our piano students are currently learning etudes, symphony, nocturne and other musical compositions by Mongolian famous composers as well as other famous composers from around the world such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Joseph Haydn, Frédéric Chopin, Robert Schumann, and Richard Strauss.

 

We are currently offering Mongolian fiddle, Piano, and Guitar lessons to our students.

Time: The club will meet twice a week for 40 minutes at a time

CHOIR CLUB

The Choir club is designed to enhance the musical qualities of students. In this club, every child will learn the basic skills and techniques of singing choir, and a cappella. Students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the music and the special connections music brings to people.

By participating in this club, students will develop ability to blend in well during social events in the future as well as cultivating kindness and patience towards others. In addition, they will learn how to read and sing according to conductor’s hand signals.

Time: The club will meet once a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes

ART CLUB

Art Club offers visual art experiences to those who have aesthetic appreciation for arts. It is a place for both talented and interested students to hone their skills, ability to think outside the box, receive self satisfaction from their creation, while learning how to express their feelings and problems they are facing through canvas. They will collaborate and exchange their thoughts with other artists like themselves, create bonds with the community through the arts, and beautify the school and community through their projects.

Time: The club will meet twice a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Students are divided into groups based on their age.

BASKETBALL CLUB

Basketball club’s training goes in accordance with international basketball rules and instructions. 

 

The club members’ skills are improving year after year, and students are successfully graduating with qualifying standards in athletics. Moreover, graduates who showed promising results have received and will receive an invitation with scholarship from Orkhon University as well as other universities.

Students with the most promising talent will have an opportunity to be selected as a part of the school’s basketball league team, Sharks. Those students will be the school’s representative in district and city competitions, and will be participating in the annual “Sprite League” which is being organized by the Mongolian Basketball Association.

Time: The club will meet once a week for 2 hours. Students are divided into groups based on their age.

BADMINTON CLUB

The most effective sport for preventing physical inactivity and vision problems is badminton. Badminton provides long-term health benefits and opportunity for students of all ages to be active while having fun.

Through our Badminton club, student will learn the basic rules for playing badminton, how to play other similar sports as well as develop their visuo-spatial ability and ability to maintain balance, work in teams, help students maintain healthy body and increase students’ confidence.

Time: Club will meet once a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Students are divided into groups based on their age.

FOOTBALL CLUB

By joining the football club, every student will learn the basic techniques of football while engaging in various types of interesting elements. Our mission is to bring excitement to students and cultivate love for playing football.

Children who have been playing football since early ages tend to grow up healthy, become talented at different kinds of sports, and more importantly spend their leisure time efficiently. As football is a team sport, it will greatly influence in developing students’ ability to work in team settings and ability to get along with others.

Time: Club will meet twice a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Students are divided into groups based on their age.

CHESS CLUB

Chess is a mind sport that cultivates higher order thinking and strategic thinking skills in children. According to the experience of the highly developed countries, chess not only raises student’s level of thinking, but also it improves their grades in natural science subject such as Mathematics. By playing chess regularly, student’s brain activity will rise allowing them to analyze any problems and think critically from different aspects. 

 

Chess player: • Chooses the best possible route, • Takes less risks in life’s route, • Learn to give and take, • Learn to win and lose, • Become honest and brave, • Evaluate and analyze continuously, • Improve critical thinking

Time: Both beginning and advanced level groups will meet twice a week for a total of 4 hours

ICT CLUB

The development of the Information Technology era is significantly changing our life styles, our thought process, and the way we see the World. This change is increasing our need to become proficient users of modern technology. Therefore, it is necessary to learn how to work on computer software and applications that are used frequently.

The club aims to use fun and interesting approach to improve students’ ICT skills and provide an opportunity for students to use ICT and walk hand in hand with new cutting edge technologies coming out every minute.

Time: The club will meet once a week for 1 hour and 30 seconds

SPEAKING CLUB

From the club name itself, the club is offering students' to use the English language as medium. From simple sentence construction, to pronunciation, students who'll be joining the club will be guided accordingly. We have our very own acronym ACE, which stands for:

A – Attitude (Focusing mainly with students attitude towards learning the English language)

C – Confidence (Will enhance students confidence in using the language in their everyday living, inside and outside the school premises)

E – Excellence (We are encouraging students to excel not only in communicating using their mother tongue but the English language as well)

We are a group of teachers who believe that every child should learn the English language for them to be globally competitive.

Time: Twice a week with a minimum of 1 hour but not more than 2 hours depending on the topic being discussed.
